1. Who provides this service
Consultations are provided by Dr Divya Rajawat, a registered medical practitioner practising as an individual, holding MBBS and MD (Psychiatry), registered with the State Medical Council under registration number 205155. This is an online practice with no walk-in address; correspondence is by phone on +91 93805 58623 or email at [email protected].
References to "she", "the practitioner" or "we" mean Dr Divya Rajawat. References to "you" mean the person booking, whether for themselves or for someone in their care.
2. What the service is
A psychiatric consultation delivered by video, or in person once clinic facilities are available. Consultations follow India's Telemedicine Practice Guidelines, 2020 and the Telepsychiatry Operational Guidelines, 2020. A prescription issued after a teleconsultation is a valid prescription.
A consultation may result in a diagnosis, a medication plan, investigations, a referral, or a clear statement that no psychiatric treatment is indicated. No particular outcome is promised, and no outcome can be guaranteed in medicine.
Appointments are scheduled. Nobody monitors this website, the WhatsApp number or the email address continuously. If you or someone else is in danger, call Tele-MANAS on 14416 (free, 24 hours) or 112, or go to the nearest hospital emergency department. Do not wait for an appointment.
4. Who can book
- You must be 18 or older to book for yourself.
- For anyone under 18, a parent or legal guardian must book and must be present for the entire consultation. This is required under the telemedicine guidelines and cannot be waived.
- You may book on behalf of another adult with their knowledge. Where that person cannot consent for themselves, tell us at booking so it can be handled properly.
5. What you are responsible for
- Accurate information. Psychiatric assessment depends almost entirely on what you report. Withholding or altering information — particularly about other medication, alcohol or substance use — can lead to an unsafe prescription.
- Identity. You may be asked to confirm identity at the start of a consultation.
- A suitable setting. A private space, a working camera and microphone where the mode is video, and a stable connection.
- Your own recording. Do not record the consultation without express permission.
6. Prescriptions and their limits
Certain psychiatric medicines cannot lawfully be prescribed by teleconsultation in India. These include methylphenidate and most benzodiazepines. Where your treatment requires one of them, the assessment can still be completed online, but the prescription itself requires an in-person appointment. This is a legal restriction that applies to every practitioner in India.
Prescriptions are issued for a defined period. Repeat prescriptions require a review consultation; they are not issued on request without one.
7. Fees and payment
Fees are published on the homepage and shown before payment. Payment is taken at the time of booking through Razorpay; the slot is confirmed only once payment succeeds. Healthcare services provided by a clinical establishment are exempt from GST in India.
8. Cancellation and refunds
Set out in full in the Refunds and Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms.
9. Records and confidentiality
Clinical records are maintained as required by the telemedicine guidelines. Your records are confidential under the Mental Healthcare Act, 2017 and are not disclosed to anyone — including family members, employers or insurers — without your written consent, except where disclosure is required by law or necessary to prevent serious harm.
How your information is handled is described in the Privacy Notice.
10. Limits of liability
Medicine involves clinical judgement and outcomes vary between individuals. Nothing on this site is a guarantee of recovery or of any particular result.
We are not responsible for failures caused by your internet connection, device or power supply. Where a consultation cannot proceed for technical reasons on our side, it is rescheduled or refunded. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability arising from professional negligence.
11. Ending the relationship
You may stop using the service at any time. Dr Rajawat may decline or discontinue treatment where she is not the appropriate clinician, where the therapeutic relationship has broken down, or where conduct towards her is abusive. Where treatment is discontinued, you will be told and, where appropriate, referred.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Bangalore, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction.
